What is the benefit of group enrollment?
One of the most effective ways of transforming, restructuring, or building an experiential learning community is by doing so as a unit.
By having members of that community go through the same experiential or project-based learning training at the same time, those members are consistently on the same page, can hold each other accountable, can use each other for support, ideas, partnerships, and so much more.
The knowledge, training, experiences, mission, and philosophy are uniform, making the shift to an experiential learning model so much easier, streamlined, and successful.

FAQs
.Does my group get the full course all at once?
Yes. As soon as I've enrolled all members of your group in the chosen program, each member will receive an email with login information. They can login in to their personal member portal and get started! They can work through the program at their own pace or follow a group
How should our group work through the program together?
I highly recommend making a schedule for your group to hold all group members accountable. This schedule serves as a suggested timetable for progressing through PBL Teacher Academy collectively.
Suggested Timetable:
Week 1: Work through module 1 - PBL Culture-Building. All members will work through the training videos in module 1 independently over the course of the week.
Week 2: Work through module 2 - PBL Design. All members will work through the training videos in module 2 independently over the course of the week. This is the longest training module, which is something to keep in mind as you plan your schedule.
Week 3: Work through module 3 - PBLs in Action. All members will work through the training videos in module 3 independently over the course of the week.
Week 4: Work through modules 4 & 5 - Outcomes and Assessments and Moving Forward. All members will work through the training videos in module 4&5 independently over the course of the week. These modules are shorter than the others.
Group Meetings: Schedule a meeting for your group at the end of each week to reflect, discuss, and implement what was learned.
***Student-Led Learning Made Easy is a much shorter program that educators can work through in as little as a week. But again, just as I recommended with PBL Teacher Academy, schedule group meetings to discuss what was learned and to make an action plan.
Are the digital courses applicable to all grade levels?
Student-Led Learning Made Easy is appropriate for all grade-levels. Student-led learning follows a framework that can work for all ages and skill-levels.
PBL Teacher Academy is geared toward upper-elementary, middle, and high school students. These age recommendations stem from the nature of project-based learning, which involves community outreach and inquiry-based activities. Young children, particularly those who haven't yet developed reading or writing skills, may encounter challenges in engaging with these aspects.
How long will it take for our group to complete this course?
Student-Led Learning Made Easy can be completely easily in under one week. Consider asking all members of the group to spend 20 minutes per day working through the video trainings. Meet as a group at the end of the week to discuss and take action.
There is a total of six hours of video training time in this PBL Teacher Academy. The project-based learning training program is released all at once and is self-paced. Head back up a couple of questions to view the suggested group timetable for this particular course.
Our group won't have a lot of flexibility to leave the boundaries of the classroom. Is student-led learning or PBL right for our students?
The answer to both is, yes. Student-led learning doesn't necessarily require leaving the classroom.
In student-led project-based learning, you may be aware that it emphasizes authenticity, real-world applicability, and collaboration, motivating students to engage with their communities to enact positive change. Consequently, within the PBL Teacher Academy, I address strategies for overcoming challenges associated with limitations related to leaving the school.
Additionally, when you enroll as a group in PBL Teacher Academy, every member receives a bonus module on transitioning to digital platforms with PBL. In this module, I guide you through utilizing digital tools to maintain the authenticity and community-based nature of project-based learning, even in situations where physical classroom interaction is limited.
I am a subject-based teacher that needs to adhere to standards. Is student-led learning or PBL right for my students?
Yes, 100%. Both student-led learning experiences in general and student-led project-based learning can designed around standards.
PBL Teacher Academy incorporates a project-based learning training video specifically on crafting student-led PBLs tailored to standards, themes, and subjects.
Throughout the course, you'll find numerous examples of theme and subject-based PBL designs. Moreover, the program provides a PBL design workbook featuring a graphic organizer to assist students (or you) in creating PBLs aligned with standards.
I'm worried my kids don't have the skills to self-direct. Is student-led learning and/or PBL right for them?
Yes, yes, and yes! Student-led learning is right for everyone! That's the beauty of it. And, you're right. Your students likely don't have the skills yet, but Student-Led Learning Made Easy and PBL Teacher Academy each dedicate multiple modules and resources to helping students build those skills.
Will I need to purchase anything beyond what is included in the course?
Student-Led Learning Made Easy is an introductory course that includes all of the training necessary to begin student-led learning with your school or program. No other materials are necessary. Ready-made guiding materials for students could be helpful and save you some time, but they are not required to implement student-led learning in your school.
PBL Teacher Academy is comprehensive, so you do not have to take any other courses, purchase any other guiding materials (all included), or even buy any fancy classroom materials.
Your students can design PBLs around what materials and supplies are available to them. With that said, access to computers and the internet is helpful, especially if you don't have the flexibility to take kids out into the community.
Is there an option for a payment plan?
Yes. We can discuss payment options. Please reach out for details.
